The Institute for European Environmental Policy (IEEP) is looking to employ a full-time Events Officer to support the ongoing and future external and internal outreach activities of the organisation.

The successful candidate is expected to contribute to make IEEP’s outreach activities and in particular Think2030 bi-annual events a success, work across teams at an operational level and bring high quality of delivery in terms of internal and external events management.

I. Duties

  • Event management of the Think2030 event –IEEP’s flagship biannual event incl. management and organisation of side events during the event year and intervening years
  • Provide support for Thematic teams around organisation of a limited number of events per team per year
  • Provide operational support with staff events and internal meetings (catering, accommodation& transport, including in-office support)
  • Take full ownership of the travel management function for the organization including but not limited to staff retreats, Board meetings and other.
  • Ensuring ongoing compliance with the IEEP travel policy and supporting the calculation of travel related carbon footprint on an annual level

II. Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ of demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Highly organized and self-motivated individual
  • High level of written and spoken English, and other language in particular French will be considered a strong advantage
  • Proactive and comfortable with undertaking a range of duties as well as multi-tasking
  • Comfortable working and coordinating with external partners with different locations (within the EU primarily)
  • Good communicator
  • Team player
  • Experience and knowledge of the non-profit sector shall be seen as an asset
