Agriculture & Finance Consultants GmbH (AFC) is hiringsenior project manager  as part of the continuing expansion of its  Agriculture Sector segment.  The position is open to all nationalities and is based in Bonn, Germany. Candidate must be able to work independently and as a team member, and meet tight deadlines and working across cultures. In addition, demonstrated writing capabilities are required. Ability to travel and work internationally required.

I. Responsibilities

  • Acquisition and implementation of project activities is you main task: You are follow upcoming opportunities in an early stage of tender development. This includes the development of work plans, recruitment of experts and management of project acquisition teams during the tender phase. For the projects in the implementation phase, you assure the quality control of project activities. This includes supporting the field teams, reviewing work deliverables, and providing value-added feedback;
  • Conduct research on upcoming opportunities and have an open eye on recent developments in the project regions;
  • In close cooperation with the Finance & Contact Manager in charge you are responsible for project budgets and activity resources;
  • Maintain positive relationships with partners and client;
  • New business activities including but not limited to technical writing, recruitment, cost, collaborate recruitment and management, and strategy development. Mentoring of junior staff on new business activities.
  • Contributions to corporate systems and procedures development support of the senior management, and willingness to support the improvement of office as a whole.

III. Qualifications 

  • Min 5 years of professional experience in development cooperation;
  • Demonstrated experience responding to EU procurements including recruitment, technical writing and budgeting and knowledge of EU PRAG regulations and contract administration;
  • Technical skills and experience in the areas of agriculture, agribusiness and/or economic growth are a must and we are looking for candidates with an Agriculture background
  • Fluent English speaking level is required and solid writing and communication skills in French would mean a strong asset
